So apart from the body, what's the difference between this LE version and the original DirtMic?
The main difference is that the capsule is cardioid and not omni like the original. This change means that the LE DirtMic sounds much fuller up close (due to the proximity effect) so it really shines for vocals, amps and any close sources that need to have a unique, distorted sound.
It also means that the LE is thinner sounding than the original when used at a distance, for example, as a drum room mic. The new capsule also has slightly less volume hitting the circuit so the amount of gain available to the LE is lower than the original but still more than enough to go distortion crazy.
